How have you been doing?
I had a busy week and a tough weekend!
A busy week full of writing and planning my next steps, and a tough weekend because I was out all day on a trip on Saturday and my son got sick on Sunday. Nothing too serious, only a nocturnal marathon of vomiting, but it kept me awake for the most part of the night.
The bright side is that it gave me something to write about and that he has insane skills to be on the next remake of The Exorcist!

🧽 What I’m Soaking In
What I’ve been doing:
Writing essays (check below).
Reading a lot of essays from Write of Passage students.
Readjusting my focus⤵️⤵️⤵️
I’ve been focusing on writing more about personal experiences and improving my storytelling skills, and I enjoyed the results, which led me to believe that this is the path that I should follow.
But don’t worry, there will always be some lessons to share, and my promise of not boring you to death remains intact!
🦉 Soaking Up Knowledge
Being part of the team behind Think in Frameworks made me very familiar with frameworks, but that doesn’t mean that it all comes easy and that I apply dozens of frameworks every day.
Framework thinking is a skill that can be developed, and there will be some that will feel more natural to you than others.
In my case, one framework that I resonated deeply was Speed Vs. Velocity.
If you don’t know this one, let me tell you about it.
Speed is moving quickly, and it’s a lot better than inertia. But Velocity? That’s speed with purpose. It's about knowing where you're headed.
A practical example:
You want to build an audience online, so you decide to:
Post 10 memes per day on Twitter
Publish marketing analysis on LinkedIn
Use Instagram and Facebook as a daily log of all your activities
Publish a YouTube video every week about your productivity systems
Embarrass yourself daily doing TikTok routines.
With all this, you will definitely get some results, but it will drain all your energy and focus, and send confusing signals to your audience.
That’s why you should really think about the goals you want to achieve and choose the best path to achieve them.
Conclusion
If you’re static and don’t know what you want to do or where you want to go, embrace Speed and start testing the waters. But when you get a clearer view of your sweet spot, then choose Velocity, and let your journey have direction and purpose. Trust me, it’s a game-changer.

When I started writing this essay it was going to be a rant about traffic.
Then some friends from Write of Passage showed me that there was a better story underneath it, and here it is: ⤵️⤵️⤵️

✔️ Fun Trivia
Wombats, marsupials native to Australia, have cubic-shaped droppings. This is to prevent it from rolling away when they’re marking their territory.
The lesson here is: do your shit with a purpose in mind and adapt it to your goals!
